11|Sep|2008 3The (Australian) Good Universities Guide is very reputable. It’s been around for over 15 years. It rates unis across over 30 different criteria including quality of teaching, student/staff ratios, graduate employment outcomes and across specific fields of study. That’s more useful to students than a silly stack ranking of unis from 1 to 40 (as above).
I suggest that you look for information that shows how good a uni is at delivering the courses you are interested in. Who cares how a uni ranks overall if it’s rubbish in the specific field you want?
Also you may want to have a look at student opinions/ratings on rateyouruni.com.au . This site is by the same mob that publishes The Good Universities Guide.
Good luck with your research

04|Oct|2008 5I intend to study actuarial science since I love maths very much.I am proud to say that I did well in Additional Mathematics although I do not take any tuition.Alas, I’m facing financial problems. My parents can ill-afford to pay for it.I will like to know is there any scholarship offer that I can apply? I’m going to sit for the SPM exam this year.
Hope to get a good tidings from you.
Thank you.
